the queen charlotte islands !

Haida Gwaii is Canada's most remote archipelago and the homeland of the Haida First Nation. Formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, Haida Gwaii (the Islands of the People) are an energizing and amazing place steeped in culture with unique natural endowments.

Whether you enjoy an active holiday, exploring and learning about the Islands history and culture or prefer to get away and enjoy our peaceful solitudes, along vast sandy beaches or on a guided tour to an ancient Haida Village site. Haida Gwaii offers an unforgettable experience for anyone who visits.

Situated north of Vancouver and east of Prince Rupert along the Canadian West Coast, the Islands are well connected to mainland British Columbia, through daily scheduled air service and with BC Ferries, which operates a vehicle and passenger ferry service year round.

Highlights of any trip to the Islands; your visit may include a trip into the Gwaii Haanas National Park and Haida Protected Area recently named the best National Park in North America, or the opportunity to catch one of the many species of Salmon or other sport fish plentiful in the waters all around the Islands.

Whatever your preferences the Islands offer endless opportunities to discover or relax in safe and natural surroundings.

A unique experience awaits, discover the Islands!
